Your plans, history and notes belong to your account. This page explains what the app stores, how connections share information and how to make a privacy request.
Training Plan Companion is a training planner operated by Axel Nielsen. You can create an account using Google sign-in to store plans you import, track your workouts and share training context with an external AI. For privacy questions or requests, contact Axel Nielsen at axel.nie17@gmail.com.
When you create an account or sign in with Google, the app stores your account identifier, name, email address, verification status and profile image if provided. Authentication records include provider tokens, sessions and expiry times. Session records may include your IP address and browser information.
Your training data includes plan names and goals, workout instructions and schedules, completion and skip history, results, notes, plan revisions and any saved heart-rate targets. Notes can contain sensitive information; include only what you want stored and shared as training context.
If you connect Intervals.icu, the app stores your athlete identifier and name, time zone, granted permissions, an encrypted access token and connection and sync status. Imported activity summaries include identifiers, type, date and start time, duration, distance and available average and maximum heart rate. The integration imports summaries rather than GPS tracks or full activity files.
Your information is used to sign you in, check access, keep your data associated with your account, schedule workouts, show progress and history, and produce the training context you request. Connection records support authorization, activity imports, workout delivery and troubleshooting.
The app does not include advertising or analytics trackers, and does not sell your training data. Access checks keep each user’s plans, notes and activities scoped to their account.
Google handles sign-in. The deployed app uses Vercel for hosting and Turso for database storage. These providers process information needed to operate their services, which can include technical request information. Processing is subject to the applicable service agreements and privacy policies, including their provisions on storage locations and international transfers.
Intervals.icu receives requests to read your activity summaries and account settings when you connect and sync. When you send planned workouts, it receives the workout names, dates, instructions, steps and selected targets needed for delivery. Delivery to Garmin depends on your Intervals.icu and Garmin setup; this app does not connect directly to Garmin.
Copy for AI prepares training context for you to paste into an AI service. That service receives the information when you share it. Context can include your goals, workout history, results, notes and relevant imported activity summaries.
If you authorize ChatGPT or another compatible AI client, that client can request your training data through the app’s tools and perform supported changes on your behalf. The connection is not limited to reading. Review its permissions and requested actions before approving. AI providers handle received information under their own policies and your settings with them.
Disconnect an AI client through that client’s connection settings. Disconnecting does not remove information already shared in conversations or exports.
The app uses cookies to maintain your sign-in session, secure authorization flows and remember your selected plan. Blocking these cookies can prevent sign-in and connected features from working. Fonts are served by the app rather than fetched from Google by your browser.
Authentication and ownership are checked on the server. Intervals.icu access tokens are encrypted in storage and are not returned to the browser or AI clients. No service can guarantee absolute security.
Plans, workout history, notes and imported activities remain stored until removed. Archiving or abandoning a plan keeps its history; signing out does not delete your account or training data. The app does not currently provide automatic account deletion or a fixed automatic retention period for training records.
You can disconnect Intervals.icu from Account → Connections. Disconnecting removes the stored access token and attempts to revoke provider access. The settings page reports if revocation could not be confirmed. Previously imported history, the athlete binding and workouts already sent to Intervals.icu remain. You can also manage access and remote workouts with the provider.
You can use the core planner without connecting Intervals.icu or an AI client. Use the app’s training-context export to copy plan information. This export is training context, not a complete copy of all account records.
Contact Axel Nielsen at axel.nie17@gmail.com to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, or to ask about retention, storage locations and processing. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to data portability, restriction or objection, withdrawal of consent where processing relies on it, and a complaint to your local data protection authority. There is currently no self-service account-deletion page.
Updates will be published on this page with a revised date. Review it when you connect a new service or want to check how your information is handled.
